Tree Collection Displays

As the weather gets warmer I have started to draw a lot more and I felt like I wanted to translate this across into my collection displays. I have sourced my tree drawings mainly from walks around Preston Park and other places in Brighton. By using laser cutting onto thick off white cartridge paper I have managed to create a super detailed cut picking us all of the details from my ink drawings. See these at the Artist Open Houses too.

New leafy collection displays

Fresh out of the kiln are lots of my hand pressed leaves. They have all been decorated using different oxides to give their varying colours. I wanted them to have an inky feel, almost like the print blocks used when printing. They have been arranged in some larger collection displays to normal, for hanging in my Artist Open House. These start only in a couple of weeks ekk!

Fly away

Let's fly out of this Brighton misty fog today please in this magical balloon

Hidden finds in the basement

I found these photo that I took a few years ago. They are plaster relief moulds for the regency details on the Brighton houses. I want the all!

Kiln packing

Been back in the studio getting ready for the open houses this week. I spent a day glazing everything and packing the kiln. Fingers crossed I will get lots of successful work from it. I can't wait to start applying lustre and gold leaf to my pieces next week.

Secret Garden Party

I've just got the news that I will be creating an art Installation for secret garden party this year. The theme is superstition.
