After a fantastic day on Saturady at the Twist and Make workshop at Phoenix Gallery I thought I would upload some of the images of the day. A busy day with over 60 people taking part, making over 150 buttons! Visitors were invited to make and decorate their buttons with slips and washes, adding texture and drawing into them. I have taken the unfired pieces away and will finish, glaze and high fire them. They will then take part in an exhibition in the foyer of Phoenix gallery in Brighton. Makers will then be able to either pick up their work or have them posted home to them.

Whilst attending the private view of 'Basement', 10 Brunswick Square I found a cupboard filled with old plaster reliefs. So many different patterns and textures. I tried to snap a few quick pictures before being noticed. Why are these objects hidden and shut away? With such a rich historical background to the regency houses of Brighton why are these not out on display?
