Silver Project

'I am a Diamond'
My silver project was a week long in which we were given 30g of silver. With mine i decided to cast a sterling silver diamond. Also I constructed a copper Nevada and a bisc fired clay and wooden cart with a fabric wax and newspaper flag. It is to show the relation of silver and diamond transportation across the world. My focus was on the facts and how people believe information which is given to them when infact can sometimes be lies. A society which is surrounded by the worry of people lying and is still so trusting and believing.

Tate Takeover

This is the piece in progress. Named 'Mould/Mold'

Over Halloween I had one of my second year pieces on the balcony of the Turbine Hall in the Tate Modern as part of the Tate Takeover event which took place for the night of the 31st October.

Paper Mache Trial

To enable the fragility of the clay coils to survivethe kiln process, a structure needed to be formed, which would later burn away with the heat. Paper mache is the first test

Making test tiles

Cage inspired test tiles give a three dimensional and two dimensional surface to glaze onto. Colouring clays also result in different variables.

Tin foil Trial

Seeing how the strenghth of the tin foil will keep up the coils. How will it react in the kiln?
